Biography

In her role as Director of Federal Relations, Molly, in partnership with the Associate Vice President for Federal Relations, manages the relationship between all university interests and the Legislative and Executive Branches of the federal government.

As a member of the federal team, Molly develops strategies that enhance and expand IU's footprint in Washington, DC, including working with Congress to advance IU’s priorities, serving as the university's primary liaison with Washington, D.C.-based higher education associations, and coordinating federal advocacy with other Hoosier stakeholders, both public and private.

Previous Roles

An attorney, Molly earned her law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and her bachelor of science degree in public management and leadership from Indiana University’s O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. During law school, Molly served as the appointed student member of the Indiana University Board of Trustees where she chaired the student affairs committee and served on IU’s Presidential Search Committee. While a student IU Indianapolis, Molly was named to the Order of the Barristers and was awarded the Dr. Charles R. Bantz Award for Excellence.

After graduating from IU McKinney, Molly practiced law for several years at a large law firm in Indianapolis where she advocated for the interests of clients on a wide range of policy matters including education and economic development.
